Lar Park Lincoln, a celebrated actress best known for her roles in the Friday the 13th franchise and the long-running primetime drama Knots Landing, passed away on April 22, 2025. She was 63.
Lincoln’s death marks the end of a 45-year career in Hollywood, during which she left an indelible mark not just on-screen but also behind the scenes. Her acting studio, Actors Audition Studios, confirmed her passing in a heartfelt Facebook post.
Although she had previously survived breast cancer, the official cause of death has not been publicly disclosed. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she lost her husband Michael in 2015 after his own battle with cancer.
A Life of Screen and Service
Born and raised in a family steeped in love and resilience, Lincoln was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Marjorie Dale, as well as her brothers Jack Jr. and Pat. She is survived by her daughter Piper, son Trevor, sister Karen, brother Michael, and four grandchildren.
A mother, actress, entrepreneur, and mentor—Lincoln wore many hats with grace. She devoted the latter part of her life to teaching aspiring performers the art of the audition, creating a one-of-a-kind program through her Dallas-based company, Actors Audition Studios.
The family has asked for privacy and suggested that memorial donations be made to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation or The Entertainment Community Fund.
From Prime Time to Cult Horror Fame
Lincoln’s career took flight in the late 1980s when she was cast as Linda Fairgate in the hit TV series Knots Landing. The soap opera aired from 1979 to 1993 and was a staple of American television, featuring stars like Michele Lee, Joan Van Ark, and Donna Mills. Lincoln’s portrayal of Linda Fairgate earned her a loyal fan base and industry respect.
She later became a horror icon with her role as the telekinetic Tina Shepard in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988). The character remains a fan favorite for bringing a supernatural twist to the slasher series.
A Legacy Beyond the Screen
In 2008, Lincoln penned a memoir titled Get Started Not Scammed, shedding light on the darker corners of the acting, modeling, and pageant industries. It served as a cautionary yet empowering guide for those seeking to break into Hollywood.
More than a decade later, she launched Actors Audition Studios. Her coaching approach—focused on camera-ready performance and real-world preparation—departed from conventional techniques and earned her high praise among aspiring actors nationwide.
Final Curtain, Lasting Impact
Though she is no longer with us, Lar Park Lincoln’s influence lives on—in reruns, in horror fan conventions, in the pages of her memoir, and most significantly, in the lives of the actors she mentored.
